IAS Distinguished Fellows

The category of Distinguished Fellows was established in June 2006 to uphold and expand the professional qualities of the IAS; to integrate the various national activities to a greater degree into the international arena; and to recognize high professional achievements in the field of atherosclerosis and related diseases.

This select group of individuals consists of outstanding physicians/researchers in the field of atherosclerosis and related diseases, who have exceeded the scientific, professional, educational, or teaching achievements required of regular members of the IAS. Each Distinguished Fellow is recognized as an outstanding specialist within the cardiovascular community who has had a number of years of experience in the field and who has distinguished him/herself individually in investigational, clinical, educational, organizational, or professional aspects in atherosclerosis and related diseases.
